Minnesota received many new emigres after WWII. The State of Minnesota Commission on Resettlement of Displaced Persons was formed to process these newcomers. Prof. Alexander A. Granovsky, a member of the Commission, who came to America in 1913 from Ukraine, sponsored over 100 Ukrainian Displaced Persons families to Minnesota.
