Drs. C. Walton Lillehei, Morley Cohen, and Herbert Warden, demonstrate the Sigmamotor pump and flow of blood through tubing during a controlled cross circulation open heart surgery. The presentation was given during a press conference on April 30, 1954 which publicly announced the method and reported three successful surgical cases.
