MINNEAPOLIS IS HOST CITY FOR JUNE DANCE FESTIVAL
Five hundred or more Midwestern dancers and more hundreds of dance-lovers will converge on the metropolitan area June 21 - 23, 1973, for the Second Annual Mid-States Regional Ballet Festival.

Hosting the Festival are Loyce Houlton, President of the Mid-States Association, and the Minnesota Dance Theatre of Minneapolis, of which she is Artistic Director and chief choreographer.

Highlighting the event will be a Gala dance performance in glorious Northrop Memorial Auditorium, featuring original works and classics performed by selected member companies of the Association.

A second performance, the Chamber Concert, will be held at the Cedar Village Theatre -- the erotic movie house which the Minnesota Dance Theatre converted four years ago into a theatre for dance, film, opera, and drama...

Heading the list of guest faculty is Valentina Pereyaslavec of the American Ballet Theatre School... The Midwest's own Ruth Ann Koesun and John Kriza... will amplify an already exhilerating [sic] ballet program.
