Loyce Houlton’s daily notes to company
Dublin Core
Title
Loyce Houlton’s daily notes to company
Description
The notes have a good sense of humor mixed with a call for discipline. Loyce often refers to herself as “El Monstroso” as noted in the March 16 note.

Good Morning -
Well - today is young audience day - yippee
Well again - I shall teach you contemporary and try to make your backs and fronts bend round and spiral and sideways and linear and get ready for a Vivaldi - since I have decided it does have choreographic possibilities -
I would like back here for an hour after - Jon and Susan and Andrew and Mariann - for work on the Vivaldi
Then on some occasion - anyone who has been in I Wanta Be a Driver please contact Peter and myself - Peter I was wrong - I think the first count is 9 - mea culpa
There will be many in the Vivaldi - so I would be of good cheer -
But - when I say --- "full out" I mean it - there has been sloppy rehearsing - I can appreciate fatigue but not in rehearsal a constant marking will no longer be tolerated - ---- -
In the young audience programs I would now like to throw the Flower Festival into repertory - so that means I will tell the couple who will do it - so after a few more rehearsals - FULL OUT Andrew and Mariann can take a rest and someone else will do the Intro - first two variations and the adagio
El Monstroso is fatigued so this is it for today----
