Women's Athletic Association Article Scrapbook and Photo Album, 1923-1932

Women's Athletic Association Article Scrapbook and Photo Album, 1923-1932

Oversize disbound scrapbook pages that contain articles clipped from local newspapers, publications, and black and white print photographs of Women’s Athletic Association (WAA) members and activities arranged by academic year from 1923-1924 through 1931-1932.

Pages are further organized into sections with distinct titles, to include specific pages for individual sports, functions, and activities. Sections include pages with envelopes affixed to the pages that include article clippings from The Minnesota Daily student newspaper inserted inside. Envelopes are titled by sport, activity, and event.

Loose article clippings are not dated, are extremely fragile, and handling should be minimized. Search for “Women’s Athletic Association” or “WAA” in The Minnesota Daily Student Newspaper collection in the University Digital Conservancy for articles that cover this time period.

At itemized index of the photographs (with captions) and inserted items affixed to the scrapbook pages is included on the item record for this scrapbook on the collection guide for the Women's Athletic Association records: https://archives.lib.umn.edu/repositories/14/archival_objects/1718184
