My dear Mr. Gile:
I am returning to you letter of Miss Ina Firkins. I have not taken this matter up with Miss Firkins because after thinking the matter over fully, I have come to the conclusion that it is proper and wise for the Library to be furnished with a complete file of the “Minnesota Daily” without cost. It is to the interest of the “Daily” that there be a complete file available, and to this extent at least, the Library is serving the “Daily.” This also conforms with the general practice in regard to private publications such as thesis copies, which are furnished to the Library without cost.
