On September 11, 1900, the first day of the 1900-1901 school year, all students were welcomed to campus with a complimentary copy of the first issue of Volume 2 in their post office boxes.

Notices printed in subsequent issues evidenced the growth of the Daily staff in coordinating their efforts.
Subscribers were informed about the design, cost, rate, and method of distribution. The Business Manager encouraged the support of advertisers. Editors solicited feedback and requested that readers “Spare the Trees” by submitting notices to the paper instead of posting handbills and posters throughout campus.
